About AimPutt Ltd
AimPutt® by AimPutt Ltd is a UK-designed visual-perception and putting-alignment training system, developed from a simple question on the putting green: does the line a golfer sees from address match the intended target line?
Putting isn't only about the stroke. Golfers also need a repeatable way to understand their setup, choose a starting direction and recognise the line they intend to use. AimPutt was developed at Manchester Golf Club to make those aspects of practice easier to explore.
See your alignment, don't guess it
AimPutt uses an elevated visual reference so golfers can compare the line they perceive from address with an established target line. It does not prescribe one ideal eye position for everyone. Instead, it helps each player explore their own address position and build a setup they can repeat.
Practise the ball's starting direction
Gate practice adds a second form of feedback: did the ball start sufficiently close to the intended line to pass through the opening? With an 80 mm gate positioned 3 feet from the ball, a standard golf ball has approximately ±1.2° of start-direction tolerance, assuming it starts centrally. This is a measure of ball start direction, not a direct measure of putter-face angle.
Our training philosophy is to make successful repetitions achievable and meaningful. The goal is to build consistency and confidence, not to make every practice putt a test that ends in failure. Read why AimPutt uses a ±1.2° putting-gate tolerance.
Designed for golfers and coaches
AimPutt can be used for individual practice, putting lessons and setup exploration, indoors or on the practice green. Golfers can work with an established target line, compare what they see and practise repeatable starts without relying on the training aid during a round.

Frequently asked questions
What is AimPutt?
AimPutt is a UK-designed putting-training system from AimPutt Ltd that combines an elevated visual reference for alignment exploration with gate feedback on ball starting direction.
Does AimPutt tell me where my eyes must be?
No. It gives golfers a reference against which to explore their own visual perception and repeatable setup, rather than requiring a single eye position for every player.
Does the gate measure putter-face angle?
No. A successful pass through the gate indicates that the ball travelled within the gate's start-direction window. Face angle, strike and other factors can all influence the resulting roll.
Where was AimPutt developed?
AimPutt was developed in the UK, on the putting green at Manchester Golf Club.
